Are there any educational resources available for children at BYC?
We provide homework support with certified teachers, a reading program for K-3rd students, IREAD 3 prep assistance, as well as structured educational activities like STEM projects.
Does BYC provide transportation to and from school?
BYC partners with Warsaw Community Schools to provide transportation to and from all schools within the district via busing.
How do you handle children who have special needs?
BYC makes every effort to work with and provide for all children. If there are certain needs your child has that need to be accommodated or addressed, please call us to ensure BYC is the best choice for your child.
How much do the programs cost?
After School Program is $140 per child for the entire school year. Before School Program is $20 per day or $35 per week per child. To participate in the Summer Program for an entire day, it is $100 per week or $40 per day. For a half-day Summer Program, the cost is a one-time fee of $150.
If Warsaw Community Schools are closed, are you open?
We follow Warsaw Community Schools’ calendar, so when they are closed, so are we (except for summer break).
What ages are the children at BYC?
Grades K-12 are welcome at BYC. Typically, most of our students are in elementary and middle school.
What is the policy for handling behavioral issues?
If your child struggles with behavioral issues, our staff is trained to communicate safely with them and typically can implement a verbal warning, give your child space for thinking time, or encourage them to resolve conflict safely with other students. If a behavioral issue is severe, our staff will contact a students parents or guardians to resolve the issue.
What programs are available?
We offer a before school program, an after school program, and a summer program for students K-12.
What safety measures are in place to keep my child safe at BYC?
Our #1 goal is the safety of every child who attends BYC. We host different staff training opportunities for all of our employees and voluneers, including CPR, mental health, and more. Our doors are secured during program hours, only opening to buzz in approved visitors. All staff and volunteers have had local and national background checks.
When can I drop my child off for the Before School Program?
6:30am is when drop-off begins, and lasts up to 8:20am.
When is registration open?
You can register your child to attend one of our programs year-round.
